The Passignano Abbey is a very important landmark in the Chianti region.

It has a very interesting history, that we will learn while hiking around it.

Here we are in the heart of the Chianti Classico area: vineyards, old farmhouses, forest, and more!

Optional: After the hike it is possible to stop a local wine family run wine producing farm, visit the cellar and have a light lunch with Chianti Classico wine tasting. (please inquire for the wine tasting/lunch fares).

  • Length: 4 miles (6,5 km)

  • Elevation gain: 750 feet (350 meters)

  • Difficulty: easy to moderate

  • Starting place: Passignano Abbey (gmap)

  • Suggested time: all year round. In the summer it is preferable walking during the morning

  • The fee includes the Outdoor Guide service.

  • The Third Party Liability Insurance is included too.

  • Personal Accident Insurance is NOT included.
