Fiesole overlooks Florence.

It is also an older town with Etruscan origins.

After visiting the old town,  we will hike to find the best views of the Florentine plain and surrounding hills. Along the way we will see the medieval CathedralSaint Francis convent, the ancient Etruscan city walls, passing by the area of the Roman amphitheater.

We will climb on Monte Ceceri, where Leonardo da Vinci performed his experiments on the flying man! And we will learn more about the pietra serena quarries that provided the stones for the Florentine buildings.
